Becoming a NAGDU Member:

Becoming a Member of Nagdu is really quite easy. Many people join during the annual NAGDU business meeting held during the annual Conventions of the National Federation of the Blind, but it is possible to join at any time of the year.

You will need to send your annual membership dues of $15.00 to the NAGDU Treasurer. We do not except credit card payments at this time. Make checks payable to the National Association of Guide Dog Users, and send them to Toni Whaley. A request for membership should include the following contact information:

NAGDU Members are eligible to receive Harness Up, the Newsletter of the National Association of Guide Dog Users at no extra cost. Harness Up is available in print, and on audio cassette. You can also download it elsewhere on this web site in ASCII Text,or or embosser-ready Grade II Braille file formats. Be sure to let her know which medium you want.>

Now that you have given your contact information to the NAGDU President and paid your membership dues you will be entitled to all of the rights, privileges, and benefits afforded to NAGDU, and NFB members. You are now a part of the nation's oldest, and largest organization of blind consumers in the United States. Welcome to NAGDU. If we can be of assistance to you in any way please feel free to contact any of the NAGDU Division Officers. We'll look forward to talking with you and hearing about your experiences with your guide dog. Most importantly we'll look forward to meeting you at a future NFB State or National Convention, or other event!
